Itinerary
Day 1: Luang Prabang arrival (D)
Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang, a local guide will welcome you at the airport. After you complete the immigration process, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in. Take a short rest to refresh yourself. In the evening, your welcome dinner will be arranged at the hotel. After dinner, it’s time to relax and unwind. Enjoy your overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Early Alms Giving – Sightseeing – Kuang Si Waterfall (B D)
An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms giving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession. Later in the morning we go to Phosi Market, which has an eclectic selection of foodstuffs and souvenirs.
After breakfast. Then, we take the fast train to the former Royal capital, Luang Prabang. It takes around 1 hour to arrive. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and transfer to the city after that, take the city tour to visit the former Royal Palace, which has been turned into a National Museum. This interesting structure displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Wat Xiengthong. We also have enough time this day to explore some other landmarks, including the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene, and the Wat Mai with five tiered roofs.
Finish the day to climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore the night market, where you can find a wide collection of handmade textiles by local and hill tribe people in the surrounding towns before transfer to the hotel for relaxing. Day 3: Pak Ou Cave – Kuang Si Waterfall (B D)
Today, we’ll spend a few hours traveling down the Mekong River on a long-tailed boat. Our first stop will be the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, located inside a limestone cliff opposite the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers.
Next, we’ll visit the village of Ban Xanghai, renowned for its traditional rice production. For lunch, we’ll enjoy a meal at a local restaurant situated along the bank of the Mekong River.
Continue our excursion towards Khouangsi Waterfall, stopping to visit some ethnic minority villages and see how these colorful people live. Once at the falls you can swim in the turquoise pools or walk along forest paths. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and back to your hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Departure (B)
After breakfast we transfer you to airport to take your departure flight to Vietnam; you will say goodbye to your guide and driver. END
